Service experiences

i know what you may be thinking by the title but bear with me.

have you ever reflected on past service experiences and think wow if only i had listened to a householder?

two things come to my mind of personal experience.

It was 1977 and I was about 23 years old at the time going door to door in Elfers fl. The householder show me the book 20 years a watchtower slave. He told me I need to read this book. Of course I said no then I said the person who wrote that book must not of been to smart for taking 20 years to figure out he was a slave of the watchtower. It took me 55 years to figure it out. I guess I am really, really dumb. Better later than never. Lol. Still Totally ADD

in my waking up i have come to a very emotional and costly conclusion.

i have been waking up for about 2 years.

the greatest gift we ( i ) can give our children is honesty and ttatt.

Lord, to whom shall we go?

once someone figures out that the watchtower is not a safe place for their family, they come face to face with the question of where they should be.

i don't have the answer for that, but can speak to my personal experience over the past 20 years.. i ended up taking a 12 year break from organized religion, and then read an article about a new group that had formed locally called aldea spiritual community.

after a few visits, i realized that i had found a home among others who were fed up with organized religion.

Hello Everyone, Another JW Has Left!

just want to introduce myself and let you know that this site is working and is a big help to lots of jws with doubts.

i've been lurking for about a year, the first couple of times i was frightened and literally shaking visiting an apostate site but it's the only place i can come to for sanity.

the religion has become a nut house.

I was wondering when someone other than elders who is in a higher position would speak up about what was going on in the borg. After hearing this maybe more Co's will speak up. Good job Courtney. Still Totally ADD

Coffee really is magic

i'm sitting here at my computer mapping out a hike for this afternoon, drinking a cup of coffee... the cup was a christmas present last year, i'm sure satan is just giddy.. .

Coffee is a gift from the gods. It wakes me up in the morning and keeps my mind working in the afternoon. If I can't sleep at night a strong cup of coffee will put me right to sleep. Long live coffee. Still Totally ADD

My sister passed away this evening

it was only about two months ago she was diagnosed with lung cancer and she was a non smoker .. she was never a jw and she never held it against me that i was for 33 years.. we had a good relationship even though we lived in different states about 2000 miles apart,.. tears are rolling down my cheeks as i type this .
